Join Us On The Journey To Re-rooting a House
The Story-
She was built in 1924, and I’ve admired her for years—an old soul with weathered charm and a quiet kind of strength. Now, nearly a century later, we have the rare chance to save her. The land she sits on will one day be sold for commercial use, and if we don’t move her, she’ll be torn down.
So we’re giving her a second life.
We’re moving the entire house—about 15 miles—to her new home on Nectar Road. To make the journey possible, the second story will be cut off and reassembled once she’s set on a new foundation. It’s a wild, risky process—but one worth doing.
What excites me most is doing something most people wouldn’t even consider. What scares me? Wrecking her in the process. Trusting the movers. Hoping her bones hold strong.
This is the beginning of a big story—and I hope it inspires others to rescue history, one house at a time.
The House Move- in Motion
We’re filming every wild step — from the day the movers show up to the moment her second story gets set back in place.
Expect move-day madness, renovation deep dives, and DIY highs and lows.
The Nectar Road YouTube channel launches soon. Stay tuned.
